Library

Here at Cottage, our library has a wide variety of books. We have picture books and chapter books that span a wide range of reading levels and topics. We have nonfiction books on a variety of interesting and relevant subjects. The library also has many biographies about amazing people and even graphic novels!

This little library houses approximately 6,000 titles. From Kindergarten-2^nd grade, students may check out one book at a time. From 3^rd-5^th grade, students take on more responsibility and may check out two books at a time.

We impress upon the importance of being responsible with the books borrowed from the library. Students are expected to take good care of the books and return them in a timely manner. 

 

About our Librarian, Mrs. Sterling:

Mrs. Sterling has long had a passion for books and reading. Since she was a wee child, whether reading stories or creating her own, she loved being whisked away into the lives and journeys they took her.  

For Mrs. Sterling, there is no greater joy than sharing the love of words and reading with others. Understanding that not every book is for every person, introducing a wide range of books to the students is her goal. One never knows what book has the potential to spark something fantastical, magical, or uncharted within someone.  

Finding a career in a field that Mrs. Sterling loves has truly become a dream come true in which she hopes to live happily ever after.
